Premarital Counseling?

Hi ladies!

Are any of you planning to do premarital counseling? If so, who are you using? FI and I are getting married in Miami but will be living in ATL and I'd actually like to do some premarital counseling but need recommendations.

TIA! Happy Planning!

My fiance and I went through a DETAILED questionaire together one night before we got engaged. I just looked up pre-marital counciling questions.
I think the biggest thing is if your planning to just do it on your own; make sure you both are able to be completely honest and thoughtful about the subjects.

For us, we already live together so some of the stuff we already had worked through. We also both have well paying jobs (college educated) and we don't have debt; but it was good to discuss our thoughts on spending and budgeting. We also discussed children, religion, marital expectations, etc. Some of the questions didn't apply but we just skipped those.

We did a one day counseling session through the counseling center that was affiliated with our church, but it's open to anyone. It was helpful and also counts towards the marriage license discount, if they have one in Florida.

That one day counseling session sounds interesting, I may ask our Pastor if we can do that.

My fiance and I did a 2 day premarital counseling session at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. It's open to anyone and we thought it was pretty good.

They offer the sessions 4x a year.
