Roswell River Landing

We are thinking about having our reception at the RRL.  I attended a very low key reception (no food, only cake and dancing).  I am just wondering if anyone has used this venue for a proper reception of food, dancing, etc and how it worked out?  RRL says the site holds up to 200 ppl...I can't imagine how.  We are looking at 50-75ppl.

    A reception with no food at all besides cake? I would have been so mad!

    I have been to RRL for a wedding, and I am going to say she had 100 guests. There was *just enough* room. She had full catering. The way it worked is she had the ceremony out in that dock area overlooking the river. The cocktail hour was just outside the dining room area, with a full bar set up. The food tables were set up inside inside the main dining room area, with another 3 tables set up in one side of the loft. The other side of the loft was a photo booth. The wedding was in April, and I will say the loft area was hot as all get out. The cake was in the lobby. The dancing took place back outside in the same area as the cocktail area. With 50-75 people, everyone will fit in there very comfortably without being too crowded at all.

    I think 75 people is just the comfortable number for that venue :)  I have attended a few weddings there.  Beautiful, though small.

    I got married at RRL in  October 2008, and had about 70 ppl. We had the ceremony on the dock/patio area, and the reception inside. We didn't set up any tables upstairs, that's where we had the DJ. We had the buffet tables set up against the wall near the kitchen, and a sweetheart table right on the edge of the dance floor. Our gift table was in the foyer area and cake table was on the same wall as the kitchen, right on the corner with the foyer. 

    Even though we had to do all the set up/take down ourselves, it was still a great place for our wedding/reception.

    WifeDeAngel- Thanks for the info!  Did you have a backup plan for rain??  We're considering RRL but I'm concerned about the weather in April.  We're planning on having about 90 guests.

    We had the wedding of my daughters dream at the RRL this past weekend.  Gracious Gatherings served a delicious dinner.  Kevin Wyland was amazing as a DJ.  Reinnia coordinated the linens and timing of the program.  Danita and Megan were amazing at designing the environment.  So many compliments and not a complaint. You can not miss having your dream come true also.  I highly recomment this venue and Professionals below.
