Irrational irritations

I've seen this on other boards and thought we should try this out! I need some distraction from my coughing fits and trying to not fall asleep during my prep at work.

I'm irritated that I didn't put more shredded wheat in my yogurt this morning.  It wasn't as delicious as it could have been because I wanted to save some calories.  IDIOT.

I'm irritated by the stickers stores always put on their stuff. It's always so hard to remove it and it leaves the area sticky (especially mirrors or photo frames!). I HATE THEM!

I'm irritated that the raspberries I brought as a snack to work today are so mushy and falling apart

Oh and I HATE when coworkers take forever to respond to important emails.

I'm irritated at tourists who ride the subway during rush hour. You are in the way. Please just wait to go to your museum until 10 AM. Sleep in - you are on vacation afterall.

I am also irritated by people who drive faster than me (like whooshing past me) AND people who drive slower than me. It bugs the heck outta me.

I'm also irritated by whistling and loud sneezing. Can't stand it!

I'm irritated by people who dont understand how a 4 way stop works!  It drives me freaking crazy.  90% of other people on the road irritate me.

I'm irritated that the guy at juice stop put pineapple chunks in my smoothie for some reason.  I hate chunks of fruit in anything.  Now its ruined!

I'm irritated at my manager (who sits in the cube next to me) when he eats lunch. He makes so much noise eating because he bangs his spoon against his glass tupperware for an entire 1/2 hour.  And when he's sick, everyone knows it because he sucks up his snot instead of using kleenex. Every two seconds, everyone can hear him sucking it up. It's like he was raised in a cave.

I'm also irritated by men who spit on the street or out of their cars, particularly when there are women nearby. It's gross in general, but I find it disrespectful they spit in front of ladies.

Wanna hear something even worse? One of the guys in my office (boss' son actually), chews tobacco all.day.long. All day. He has a spit bottle next to his office at all times, and walks around the office with it in. It disgusts me and I totally don't think it should be allowed at work! We have a paging system and when he pages, you can totally tell that he has it in, because it makes him talk differently. Ugh!

Ew. I have a friend who leaves his spit in bottles everywhere. Sometimes when I hop into his car, I have to kick some of them around. We have to be very alert on which cup we use to drink especially if it's set next to his spit cup. He would often talk then spit in front of us into a clear cup so I can see everything. DISGUSTING!

Can i just say ew ew ew to the spitting and the chewing YUK...neither of those are irrational they are completely justified irritations! Can i also say that i love this post idea.
My irrational irritation is when you try to pull a kleenex out of the box and like 4 come with it! (I have outdoor allergies so i use a lot this time of year) but when you stuff em back in it looks all messy on my desk

Yes this pisses the hell out of me too!  I went to Greece with a friend 4 years ago and she chewed her gum with her mouth open the entire 10 hour flight! 

And people chew your food with your mouth shut!!

ceglare my hideous co-worker who I have complained about multiple times on here also has the same tobacco chewing and bottle spitting habit! It's SO DISGUSTING. My office looks into his office (we have windows next to our doors) so all day long, if I peek out my window, I can see his filled up brown spit bottle. SICK.

I also get irritated when people at the office use speaker phone for no reason. I use speakerphone when I am on a teleconference with my boss in my office, or if I am taking tons of notes and need both hands free, but a lot of people around here use speakerphone FOR EVERYTHING - even just listening to their voicemails. and it's so loud and stupid.

OMG those are both beyond disgusting! I would have to listen to music all day while I work if someone was spitting all day near me.  And I would be so nervous to pick up a cup mekiakoo.  I honestly think spitting is a learned habit and it does not make guys more manly! My FI does it at home (usually in a trash can) and it's the worst sound ever, but it's because of his severe allergies so I feel bad for him and don't say anything.

One of the managers at my work did this. He would call people on speakerphone when they were literally two cubes away from him. he was too lazy to hold the phone when he spoke!

k8888, there's an obnoxious women that I absolutely CANNOT stand in my office, and when she pages, she like lingers on the last number in her extension. It drives me insane! It sounds like "Jane Doe call extension 112222222222222222." And she has the most annoying voice ever which makes it worse. God I hate it.

Oh I have another one. I HATE it when a person sends me a text message but instead of typing the entire thing and sending it- they type a sentence then send it, then type another sentence and send it so I get like 5-6 text messsages for ONE message.

It'll be like this:

"Hi"

"What are you up to today?"

"Want to hang out?"

"I am working until 5"

WHY CAN'T they just say "Hi, what are you up to today? Wanna hang out after I finish work at 5?"

I'm irritated at our mailman. He has been so inconsistant lately. The other day he randomly opened the door and put the mail in the house. Apparently he was to lazy to walk the extra two feet to the mailbox. WTF. Then yesterday, the mail didn't come until after 5:00. Which is insane as we usually get it by 3. Don't they know I'm waiting for responses!

These are all TOTALLY rational irritations!

One of mine's totally irrational. I am irrationally irritated that my banana, which had a billion brown spots on it and was clearly over-ripe, was all brown and mushy when I peeled it. I was actually seriously irritated by this and let us a loud SIGH. Not sure what I was expecting with the speckled outside.  I should have known.

I am rationally irritated that my boss is an a-hole and doesn't have the courtesy to use punctuation in emails. "Pls read when can I review want to read tmrw thx" - Seriously? You're sitting at a computer. Type out the effing word and use effing punctuation.

That's me too. I always add bananas in my cheerios and I'm always disgusted that it tastes so ripe even after knowing it was all brown and mushy.

I just wish we could buy bananas in a bulk with some bananas being ripe while the rest are more green so it'll be ready when I'm ready to eat them. I hate it when all of them turn brown at once. I've been baking a lot of banana muffins lately.

I always do the same thing with bananas!!! I love mine on the SLIGHTLY green side, slightly crispy, and am always so pissed off when they are soft, even if the outside is brown.

This morning, I added some blueberries that I just bought LAST NIGHT to my bowl of Kashi cereal, and the blueberries were mushy and flavorless and not sweet. I am still mad about it. blueberries are expensive here, gosh darn it, they had better at least taste good!

I can't stand it when my FMIL pronounces the ll's in quesadilla.  FI corrects her everytime she is stubborn and thinks she is right!  Everytime she orders it at a restaurant I have to stop myself from spitting my drink out of my mouth when she says it.

MINE TOO!!! Mine quotes Napoleon Dynamite on a daily basis, like its still 2004 and people understand what he means when he says "Eat your food, Tina, gosh!" and "my lips hurt real bad!"
