Bring Your Own Chairs

So we are leaning towards the park in Douglasville to get married under the Gazebo but they don't provide chairs! So can I ask the guests to bring their own? Or where can I find some?

    Please tell me that you are joking. You're seriously asking if you can ask your guests to bring their own chairs? I read your post twice to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding you.

    No, you cannot do that. That is the height of tacky rudeness. You are hosting, therefore it is your job to bear the burden of ANY expense and ANY inconvenience. NOT your guests. That means that you pony up the money to a rental company to drop off and pick up chairs. Your number one job is to be as hospitable as possible towards your so called loved ones. They are giving up most of their day, getting dressed up, driving to your wedding ceremony and reception, and most are buying you a wedding gift (and possibly a shower gift), and you want to know if you should ask them to bring their own chair to the ceremony?

    Actually I have been to a few that have done that, I am sorry if I offended anyone. I would be happy to rent the chairs if anyone knows of a place in the area.

    A1 rentals in Atlanta has very good prices and I've heard good reviews.  And don't worry, you're not offending anyone.  The whole point of this discussion board is to get advice from other brides. Smile

    Good thing you didn't post this on the Etiquette board - those girls will eat you alive! I agree with PP - google chair rentals in Atlanta and check out yor options

    North Georgia is a little rough to find a good rental ... A1 and Barons are pretty much it.  Down by Douglasville there are quite a few (I know I've called them beggind for them to come more north, no luck.) 

    Chair rental is pretty cheap all things considered.  Good Luck!
