Piedmont Room Experiences?

Hello!  I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Piedmont Room at Park Tavern.  Please let me know the good and the bad.  Has anyone had a problem with their wedding reception there due to another event going on at the same time downstairs in the Garden Tent?  Thanks!

I went to a reception in both locations and they were great. The food was good and the bride was happy. There weren't any other events going on at either wedding. The only issue I can think of would be noise from the other DJ/Band interfering with your DJ/Band. I wouldn't worry about party crashers unless you are having a buffet.

Butting in from NEY to say that I've never been to a wedding there, but I have been to a book party there. It was a Friday or Saturday night so there was tons of activity and the regular weekend bar scene there that night, but I barely noticed from upstairs. The spaces are pretty self-contained and I didn't hear a lot of noise interference. But, I have heard that since the piedmont Room isn't indoor/outdoor (like you would have access to if you were in the garden tent) that people who were smokers, or got tired of waiting in long upstairs bar lines hop downstairs for smoke breaks and drinks (that they pay for themselves, as opposed to you having an open bar). The crowds aren't necessarily separated well in that they prevent strangers from coming up to your event, but guests can head down and enjoy the bar scene, grab a drink, hang out downstairs if they want. If you have wandering guests that might be a bummer if they are hanging out at the bar and checking out the scene instead of your staying at your reception.
