BM shoe help!

My ladies are wearing Mori Lee knee length dresses in eggplant chiffon...

I was thinking either a shade of purple or silver, but the problem is... I dont like the typical prom-ish silver shoes, I would prefer silver satin and the purple shoes are hard to find... I dont mind if the shoes are different since they are chosing their own dress style, but do yall have any suggestions about what would look good with eggplant or a silver/purple shoe that would look good??

You might not like flats or your BMs may not either, but its a different yet cute look. 

You could also do closed toe pumps instead. If you don't like that idea, the only thing you're really left with are strappy heels, which apparently doesn't suit you. 

What kind of wedding is this? Super formal? Laid back? I think that depends on what you should go with, like heels vs. flip flops. 

Maybe its a big deal to you, so that's ok if it is, but  to me this seems pretty trivial in the long run. No one will really care or remember the BMs shoes and you won't notice them in pics, unless someone stands out wearing like crazy colors or sneakers or something. If I were you, I'd just give them a color/color range and some height suggestions (tall girls may prefer a smaller heel, short gals like me might prefer a stiletto! also some people have feet problems and shouldn't wear heels) and just let them pick their shoes themselves. Less worry for you! =D

I would say go with silver.  Matching purple shoes to the dress is kind of old school.  Like PP said the shade of silver is really not a big deal - the BMs are the ones wearing them not you.  I would let them pick any silver shoe and you might specify "open toe" or "sandal" if you want.  That way they can pick something that they might actually like and wear again. Or they might already even own some.

I also think silver heels would be prettier. Take a look at  sheikhshoes.com.  They have nice heels for a very decent price.  You may even find some purple ones you like..

My bridesmaids are wearing B2 in eggplant so I am familiar with the shoe color dilemna! My bridesmaids are wearing nude shoes which I think is a trendier version of silver. I do think silver looks promy and a one time wear, but nude is so in style right now and looks great with the dresses!
