QOTD 12/2/10

Where are you getting married? Is it your first choice? If not, why are you going with this instead of your first choice?

I'm probably going to get married at the Roswell River Landing, but it's not my frist choice. My first choice would have been Roseabelle Manor in Adairsville but we're not having the wedding there because I won't be able to set a date until 6 months max ahead of time and they book 18 months out. Plus, they are totally all inclusive and although they've got good package prices, we think we can do it a little cheaper on our own at RRL.

The Defoor Centre - Love it!  It was our first choice within our budget.  However if money weren't an issue, I probably would have chosen somewhere more opulent :)  Not sure where though, I didn't even look at any venues outside of our budget because I didn't want to fall in love.

My first choice was Fernbank, but FI didn't want to pay that much.  I guess King Plow is my second choice, but I really fell in love with it so it doesn't feel like a second choice or that we're settling.

Old Courthouse in Decatur...it was probably my first choice within the budget. Budget busting choice might have been The Fox Theatre or Georgian Terrace, but like belletop I didn't even bother going places like that!

We're getting married in the Piedmont Room at Park Tavern.  It was definitely my first choice.  We chose to get married on a Friday, instead of a Saturday, so that we could fit it into our budget.  I absolutely love it, and can't wait.  Our favorite part is that there are floor to ceiling windows overlooking Piedmont Park with the midtown city skyline in the background.  Once we saw that at night, we were totally in love and had to pick it.

We both really fell in love with Dunaway Gardens. But, after crunching numbers we realized that we needed to look into other options if we wanted to have the entire wedding up to our style. We want a band, good food, full bar, flowers, etc. So, we are getting married on my Grandmother's property. It's so beautiful with a huge oak tree and a pond. So, we will tent the area and this way we can use the vendors we want without restriction.

I guess if $ really wasn't an issue we would do a destination wedding somewhere in the Caribbean and go all out!

We're getting married at The Conservatory at Waterstone Grill.  FI and I fell in love with it instantly (it's the first place we both absolutely loved) and they're just starting to do weddings so they're super budget friendly right now.
