block hotels downtown Atlanta

Any suggestions on good hotels downtown (between 17th and Edgewood) that have decent block rates $150 and under that are easy to work with? There are SO many hotels downtown I am hoping to narrow my search process!

The W hotel in midtown was great to work with and their rate was less than $150.  They are on 14th street.  There's also a downtown location.  We booked blocks with other hotels too.  I'll try to find the list and post it.

I'm not sure of all the exact pricing, but here are some places I know of. Most hotels will do a block for you, but mine made me have all my guest book by a certain date, which wasn't much of an issue. We bought 2 extra rooms and ended up giving them away to people who didn't book in time! You can really talk hotels (and all wedding vendors) down. My mom laughed about how much I would beat people down on prices! Our rooms started at $275 and ended up at $198!  

Do you have a venue yet? I can tell you what hotels would be closest and most convenient.

Marriot Marqis is a really awesome downtown hotel. The reason we didn't go with it was because it was huge and even our tour guide was having trouble finding their way around!

We also looked at the Georgian Terrace. If you have a lot of OOTs you can have your wedding there and guests stay too. Its right across from the Fox.

This one is right next door...Hotel Indigo. It seems hip and trendy and I think they take pets... if that matters!
