Wedding Photographers Under $2000

Hello ladies,

my FI and I are getting married in Atlanta next year and was wondering if you guys know any great photographers. We would like atleast 12 hour coverage with possibility of having a second photographer for 4 hours in the beginning.

Good luck getting all that for under $2000 around here. You can definitely get a basic package and stay within your budget but 12 hours is a long time. Most packages I see have 5-8 hours, additional hours available for around $100ish extra per hour. Having another photographer will add even more, even for just 4 hours. 

Unless you know someone who can cut you a sweet deal or you go with a less experienced shooter, I don't see this happening. Good luck though! If you find someone please let me know!!!! =D

I am using them too and they are fantastic! They just posted our engagement pictures in their blog at fixedfocal.net. We are the first set of pictures on there. They did a wonderful job!

She is an excellent photographer, and you don't have to buy prints from her.  She signs over all rights and ownership of her photos to you, and you can have them printed on your own. 

We are paying $700 for two photographers.  Good luck finding a photographer for 12 hours though.

A friend of mine used Pro Deo Creations - they provide two photographers for 10 hours for $1,000. They also don't force you to buy prints. You get all the images on DVD with copyrights. I'm sure you could get two additional hours for a few hundred. They even have a cute Facebook site:

My friend used them and they posted the photos online and tagged her in them so we could all see them. And since they were on Facebook we could download them (they weren't super high resolution since they were downloaded from FB, but they were good enough for my computer screen saver!).
