Help! FG flowers? Need advice

I feel like an idiot asking this.  I was reviewing my flower contract with the florist and we'd arranged to give each of my two flower girls a bouquet.

Looking back, that doesnt make sense to me now. They've got their FG baskets with the petals to throw...what would they do with a bouquet too?  Right?  Do I need the bouquets?

What's the way this is 'supposed to' work?

Re: Help! FG flowers? Need advice

  • I did a bouquet for my FG because I didn't want the mess of her tossing petals and thus the clean up fee at the church.

If you want them to toss petals, I don't quite get why they need bouquets.

  • I agree with PP, if they are throwing flowers they do not need bouquets unless you want them for pictures perhaps.

If you don't want them, try to talk to florist to say you don't want them and adjust the price?  It is enough time in advance that your flowers aren't ordered yet.
  • I would definitely ask the florist about this.  Did you see toss petals on the contract? (or is she even providing the toss petals?)
Perhaps she can't indicate toss petals for some reason and is calling them a bouquet, but that seems unlikely.

We're not actually having our flower girl carry anything, she just has a crown of flowers on her head.  :)

  • Thanks for the advice, ladies.  We'll go with the throwing of the petals!
