Is there anyone here has booked this venue? What has been you experience working with them? Is there an indoor reception area? Does rental include access to the William Payne House that is on the property?

My fiance and I just took a tour of this venue yesterday and are leaning towards picking it - they actually have a few rental options, including the William Payne House. You can also rent Heritage Hall, which is a more traditional ballroom (seated capacity of 175 including dance floor and buffet) and/or the community room and veranda above Heritage Hall.  But each area is rented seperately at differnet prices (i.e. if you rent Heritage Hall, you don't automatically get the William Payne House unless you pay for it).
Can't tell you much about working with them yet since we've only taken a tour, but I had a good impression of Sarah, how gave us the tour.

My fiance and I also took a tour, but ended up booking a different venue outside the city. However, for what we were looking for, HSS was our top Atlanta pick.

You can also do a rental of the WPH and reserve Heritage Hall as your backup option (due to rain) for an additional fee. This means that your caterer would have access to the full kitchen in the main building, and the bride gets the nice bridal suite to get ready in.
