Wedding Dress Train

So I got my dress last month at the Running of the Brides, and it's a beautiful A Line with beaded appliques (sp?) anyways, there is a stain on the train and it is pretty noticeable. I have taken it to the dry cleaners and they were unable to get the stain out as it's gone through the fabric. My seamstress says since the train isn't very long, I call it a baby train we can take the train off. I think I would be okay with it, since it's not a cathedral train and the wedding will be outdoors (my allergies will love that).

So glad my wedding is over a year away still! Even though my family is freaking out like it's this weekend! lol

AH I have a stain on my dress as well. Its my aunt's and she didn't have it cleaned after her garden wedding 5 years ago. It is a grass/dirt stain and am very very nervous that it will not come out. However I am glad to know something could be done about it since it's on the bottom and I need a considerable hem as is. I was thinking of having it hemmed at the waist due to some detail in the fabric but if its the only way to get the stain out, so be it.

By chance do you know what the stain was?

Where is the stain?  If it's near the edge maybe you could also have a sash sewn around the hem to cover it up.  Or if it's near the center you could have a sash sewn down the middle of the train.

I have also heard of detachable trains. So maybe if you could match the material of the dress you could remove your mini-train and add a detachable one for the ceremony (and remove for reception). Or you could always go with a long veil that would trail after you for the ceremony. My sister's dress also only had a tiny train and she had the dress permanently bustled to remove it but she wasn't excited about the train at all (which went with her destination more casual wedding). I think you still have options just talk to your seamstress. Also, you could always add something over it.

They didn't know what the stain was at the cleaners, it looks like someone had greasy fingers or something. It's near the bottom of the train but not low enough to just hem it.

I have looked at bustling, I wonder if that would help. Thanks I would talk with my seamstress. The train is so simple, the whole back is white with the beading on the side and front. I like the train, but it's not a beautiful beaded one and it's an outdoor ceremony so it would get pretty dirty.
