Alteration Suggestions

Hello ladies,

Do you know of an affordable place that can do BM dress alterations? I need the chiffon dress shortened, and some of the top taken in. Any suggestions (the dress cost $130, so I'm hoping not to spend another $100 on alterations) that are reasonable and reliable?

She took in my satin A line dress (8 inches at the waist!), added boning to make the bodice more like a corset, and soon will be redoing the French bustle, hemming it, and pressing it, all for $200. She is very good.

If all you need is a hem and a little taking in, I would *think* that she could do that for under $100, but then again it depends  on the way your dress is made and the fabric. Just tell her your budget concerns.

Are you close to the West side? I have a good woman, who's doing my dress. She also did my bridesmaid dress for a wedding I was in it was $30 to get the dress shortened and the straps taken up.
