RSVP

Ok so my wedding is in a month YAY! Well Ive been having trouble with people sending in RSVPs. I have to tell everyone a head count in 2 weeks and 3weeks I know it seems like a little while but I sent out 150 invites only have gotten 30 back. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Maybe Im just stressing!!!

It is perfectly acceptable to call the people that you have not heard back from and ask if they will be attending. Just let them know that you have to give your vendors a head count.

Congrats Dani on being so close to the date!  But yeah, you should reach out to your guests a couple of days after the RSVP deadline.  Some people do wait to the last minute.  You don't need to ask before the deadline though.

Some people will mail the RSVPs on the RSVP date thinking that it must be in the mail by then. Give it a couple days passed the RSVP date then starting calling people. You may want to enlist your FILs and parents to help with the calling.

My wedding is in about a month as well and I am having the exact same issue!!!!  I will wait about a week and a half after the RSVP date has past then my mom, FMIL, and I will be calling the people we haven't heard from.

I just met with our coordinator yesterday, and she advised me that we will probably be receiving RSVPs in the mail until June 10th (our wedding is June 5th, ha!).  So yes, it's very acceptable to begin calling about a week after your RSVP date and ask if people are coming.  Sometimes people forget, lose the invite, or even think that they'll wait until the day of the event to decide if they're attending (seriously, I don't think my FI ever RSVPd to anything until I came into his life).

Yes, you are not alone. It's less than a month till our wedding and we are having to call people who didn't bother to rsvp. It's frustrating, especially when you give them a stamped and addressed envelope for the rsvp and they don't even bother to use it.
