I'm getting married July 16, 2011 and I have some money to use towards our wedding. Would you put the money on items you already have booked or try to book new items for payoff later?

    What do you mean?  Usually you're only paying deposits at this point with the full amount due closer to the date.

    Make sure all of your deposits are paid for anything you need to make a deposit on - if you have a hard time holding onto money (like myself) I understand that it's easier to go ahead and put it into something! I would make sure ALL deposits are covered and then use the rest to start paying towards remaining balances. If you're talking smaller items then I would wait for those though, but things that won't change (venue, etc) you can go ahead and start paying off if you'd like.
