Online ordination recognized in Philly?

We'd like to have our brother-in-law ordained to perform our ceremony, which will be held in Philadelphia. We want to verify that our marriage would be legal and binding if we decide to go with him. Tried to call county clerk's office (http://www.phila.gov/justice/orphans/ ) for info but couldn't get an answer, so I decided to crowd-source it. Does anyone know if Philadelphia county considers marriages performed by online-ordained ministers (probably gonna go with Universal Life Church: http://www.themonastery.org/) to be legal? Thanks!

I don't know the specific rules but a friend just had her brother-in-law ordained online and her marriage is legal. Not sure which online church they used.

I believe they're legit, but not sure. PA does recognize what is commonly known as a
"quaker wedding" - meaning you don't need an officiant, just witnesses I believe. You just have to specify that's the kind of license you want (at least in Delaware County) That way, you could have your brother-in-law lead the ceremony, even without gettinging ordained. if you google PA & quaker wedding, you should be able to find more details.

This got a lot of press a few years ago.  Quaker weddings are totally fine, but I think they no longer accept the universal life church.

Yes, I want to do the same thing in Harrisburg and the Dauphin County Court House just told me PA won't recognize  ULC Ordained ministers . I may go forward anyway but do a quick courthouse wedding just before or just after to make sure I don't have any issues down the road.
