Dress Shopping in ATL

Hi ladies! I am not part if your board obviously, but I am going to Atlanta this weekend to look for my dress. I was hoping I could get some feedback on the shops I am going to. I am going to La Raine's Boutique on Friday, and then Priscilla of Boston, Bride Beautiful, and Bridals by Lori on Saturday. Any comments would help-- like, great selection, or horrible service, etc. Thanks so much!!

Priscilla of Boston has first class service. I did not end up getting my dress there, but they were so nice I came back to purchase my flower girl dress from them. Both my sisters bought there dresses there as well. They were also very good about sticking to your budget and not trying to 'up-sell' you,

Unfortuntely, I can't speak for any other the other bridal stores you listed. Kelly's Closet does have beautiful Claire Pettibone dresses though, and some cool small designers. I would recommened looking at them as well.

Bride Beautiful, because it is an old store, gives me the feel of kinda cheap. JUST MY OPINION. Bridals by Lori is nice, some think expensive, and customer service is a mix. I know a few people have felt totally insulted when they left their and others that were over the moon in love with the experience. HTH and GL!

I totally agree with this. I had a good experience there and the consultants were super sweet.  I purchased my dress from Bridals by Lori. I was hesitant because I heard some unplesant things about their customer service.  However, I really clicked with my consultant and she helped me find the perfect dress!  Good luck and let us know if you find the one! :)

Thanks so much! Now I at least have an idea of what I'm getting into when I get there, haha! Maybe I should have come on here before I made my appointments so I could have gotten suggestions from y'all. Oh well, if I don't find my dress this trip, I might go back b/c Kelly's Closet and J. Andrew's in Peachtree City were others I wanted to go to. There just isn't enough time on this trip. Thanks again for your help, and I'll let y'all know about how it went!

Heads up, Priscillas of Boston is having their sample sale this weekend, it starts tomorrow.  Up to 75% off sample dresses which are generally size 8 or 10.  I got both (hehe) my dresses at their sample sales.  One is a Melissa Sweet and the other is from the Vineyard collection.  The service is great.  You'll love it!

I got my dress at Bridals by Lori and had a wonderful experience. That was the first place I went so I don't have any other personal recommendations for others. My BFF had a great experience at La Raine's.

I got my dress at bridals by lori last weekend at the Lazaro trunk show, and I had an amazing time! My friend Grace is a consultant there, and I loved working with her. All of the ladies there are super sweet, and Lori is so nice! Be prepared for Monte though, before you know it he's behind you pinning your hair up and putting earrings on you, but it's so much fun! He really helps you see the 'big picture'. Good luck finding your dress!

So I posted on here last week that I was making the trip to Atlanta to find my dress. I just wanted to let y'all know about my appointments because some of you wanted to know how things went. 1. La Raine's Boutique- Great for my first time trying on dresses! Since it's small I basically had the store to myself and I got to try on a bunch of dresses I had pics from magazines of. I found an Alvina Valenta dress that I really liked. I had a great first experience, and it started off my weekend and dress hunting adventure perfectly. (Oh, and my consultant, Sarah was so nice, easy going, and not pushy at all.) 2. Priscilla of Boston- My consultant (forgot her name) was too much of a salesperson for me. I didn't seem like she genuinely wanted me to be happy and find my perfect dress, but instead she just wanted to make a sale. Had some really great dresses, found one that I loved, but knew I had to finish out the rest of the day with my other 2 appointments. Overall, good experience, I just got a little fed up with her snotty remarks and push to make a sale. 3. Bride Beautiful- .......... That's really all I can say. One of you warned me about this place being older so it felt cheap. Cheap is the only word that comes to my mind when I think of this place. My consultant was really nice, but I ended the appointment a little early because I knew I wasn't going to find my dress there. 4. Bridals by Lori- AWESOME! Of course, that high class experience was great, but it also helps that my FI started the appointment off well because he had a dozen roses sent to the store for me, that were waiting upstairs when I got there. My consultant was amazing and it was just a great experience. Every single person I talked to that worked there was super sweet! Lori, Monte, Robin, and Flori were all very nice. By the end of my appointment I was the only bride in there so I had them to myslef. Haha. I ended up buying my dress there and I am sooo happy! =) I know this was long, sorry, and thanks for letting me post on your board!! =)
