Budgeting

I think I have the reception place and church to get married at and the total will be $13000. Will $5000 be enough for flowers,dj, photographer, and invites? I have some room to play with (up to $20,000) but I'd rather stay under. Also any tips on saving would be great

Does that include the food, drinks, linen, etc. in what you have already paid for?

It kind of all depends on what you already have and what you plan on having (length of time for DJ, what DJ, length of time for photographer, what photographer, style of invitations, etc..)  Our whole wedding is around $5,000 and that includes venue rental, minister, plated dinner, cocktail hour, etc. at a winery so, as you can see, it kind of depends on your tastes

Is $5000 doable? Sure.  Is $5000 doable for you? It depends on what you're looking for and what the remaining items purchased on the budget are.

An ATL photographer can cost you anywhere from a couple hundred (student or novice) to several thousand (pro, additional time, nice album, second shooter). 

Same with DJs and flowers. It all depends on what you want, how much you want, and for how long. 

Like Hyrdo said, $5k is doable for sure, but maybe not for what you were envisioning.
