Mansell House

Does anyone have any experience or photographs from a wedding at the Mansell House in Alpharetta?  TIA!

    I haven't been to a wedding per se, but I have been there. I am not sure why anyone would choose it for a wedding.

    1. It's TINY. There is room for some buffet tables in the house, that's it.
    2. It's right on a busy road, so you will have lots of loud traffic noise whizzing by.
    3. It's right in front of a park and baseball field, so lots of screaming children, and depending on the date, a baseball game too.
    4. It's not really a great deal when you factor in the tent rental, which you pretty much need to do because there is absolutely no room inside for a wedding if it rains. Also, the outdoor ceremony area has to double as the reception space, so everyone will have to sit at their tables instead of having a typical ceremony set up because there's no space to "flip" it and bring the tables back, unless you want to recruit your guests to work on set up and breakdown in the middle of your wedding.

    Fantastic venue!  I was at a wedding there back in November.  Great scenery. fabulous food & a great ball room for the reception.  I believe max capacity there is around 150.  How many people are you expecting?

    My wedding photographer that I used also shot my friends wedding there, so you should be able to find some photos in his gallery from the Mansell House.  www.chrisbrock.org

    I have been there for another kind of event, and I agree....it's really tiny!

    Yea I was there for a rehearsal dinner and it was tiny! There is no room outside! The gardens are really pretty though, if that is what you are looking for!
