I want to wear my mom's veil for my Nov 3 wedding. The problem is, the elastic loops holding the plastic comb to the band have given out over the past 30 years. I took the veil to my first fitting and the seamstress was not confident that putting new loops and combs in would work with my hair type (apparently it is too soft and smooth lol). But she also admitted that while she has been altering wedding dress for 34 years, she hates working on veils. Can anyone recommend a seamstress, etc. who might be able to help get this veil functional again?
