Thanks Dibs - it's REALLY big for me.  Writing the checks is making it seem more real.

Brides & Grooms in Newark, DE. I went to Frank Bernards in Wilmington last week and found a dress I love but I want to try on a few that I saw online before deciding.

Yay, mana! That's so exciting! Writing out the check does make it that much more real.

We booked our baker and picked our cake stuff (design, flavors, fillings) on Saturday, and my moh picked out her dress, (DB 81255 in mocha) and I found out from the courts that it's not a huge fiasco to change my name back to my maiden name (long story... the lawyers wording was wonky and I though I was stuck with my exh's last name... until yesterday) so, I'm currently writing the letter to request the change in name! This means I can get my passport renewed for the honeymoon soon. Woohoo!

Paprika - What design and favor did you go with for the cake?!  YAY for the change of your name.  Will you have to change all the your stuff (liscense etc) then change it when you get married?

Mana--isn't that in Pottstown???  That's where I'm from!  If I was getting married there, I probably would have ended up at Meredith Manor.

We finalized our menu last night... and ate DELICIOUS food.  AND my parents were GETTING ALONG.  It was GREAT.   And they made so much food for us... so we had a lot left over, and they let us take it home.  So guess what I'm having for lunch today?  My wedding menu! lol.

Jely--I'm so excited for you!!  MBR got her dress at Brides & Grooms, and she loved it there.  I also recommend Bridal & Tuxedo Shoppe, which is also in Newark.

RA - haha yup it's in Pottstown!  I love it, it's beautiful!  I admit I was a little put off when no one else on here was/is getting married there.  But the food was great, the owners are so nice... I'm excited.  And it's only an hour from most guests. 

YAY for parents getting along, and eating your wedding menu for lunch!  HOW fun!  Did groomzilla like the venue?!

Mana- the top and bottom layers are yellow cake with canolli filling and the middle layer is red velvet with a chocolate ganache filling. All off white, with little swirly designs on it... square, 3 layers with the middle layer offset so it looks like presents stacked on top of one another, with a bow on top. I think there's a few pictures in my bio... I can't PIP at work though.

WELL.  We didn't get to go into the ballroom, because there was a REVIVAL MEETING in there.  We did get to sneak in, and he got to see my favorite part, which is the GIANT BUILT IN BAR.  And you could see how huge the room was.  We're going to go back to see everything set up, and so we can see what it will look like with the linens we picked out.  We also want to bring out photog out there (he's a family friend) since he's never been at the venue before.

TCT-We were going to go with Tie Bar, but when FMIL and I were shopping for fabric for the BM dresses, we also looked at silk to get an idea.  And we ended up getting fabric to make ties, also.

Oh!! I forgot that I have another check!!!  I got the BM necklaces yesterday from etsy.  www.etsy.com/piperblue. I picked 5 different necklaces, since each of my girls has a different dress in the same fabric, I thought getting different necklaces in the same style would be great, too.
