Good Morning ladies-
I am doing my planning from out of state so I thought I would post some pre wedding vendor reviews. I will come back after the wedding and post after wedding reviews but thought it may come in hands.
Venue- Old York Road Country Club- Ambler, PA
My FI and I came into town and toured 9 venues in two days. Old York Road Country Club was towards the end, but from the moment you walk in you are treated just like family. Most of my interaction has been with Colleen and I can not rave enough about how she has treated us to date. As I mentioned previously we are an out of town couple and she has been accomadating to our limited availablity and we have done 99% of things over e-mail and phone calls. She even allowed us to come in WAY ahead of schedule to do our food tasting and let us be flexible with timing as they typically do them on Sat, but it was Christmas eve so she let us come in during the week. She has been super responsive via e-mail and phone. She is honest about the things you do and do not need which in the end resulted in less money for Old York but really benefited us (so far).

I have never meet Tina in person but already feel like she could be a long time friend. Her work is beautiful and her prices are amazing. She let us customize a package and was very flexible with what we needed. She has gone above and beyond what I thought a photograhper would be. I had posted on FB that I needed a wedding planner (I was really stressed that day), she immediately sent me an e-mail (even though she was on vacation) and offered up someone she had worked with perviously. She is always upbeat and honest. I sent in my final payment, and over paid, she sent me an e-mail immediately letting me know what I had done and sent a check back the next day. If she wouldn't have said anything I would have never known, so she gets high marks for being honest. Upon booking her, she did friend my FI and I on FB and it has given us a great opportunity for us to see her style and personality which will make it a lot easier to work with her on our big day. She is very thorough in her business and makes sure every box is checked and T is crossed.
Photo Booth- Wilmington Photo Booth Company
I received two personal recommendations on this company which is why I ended up booking with them. I found most of the photobooth companies to be similar in price and offerings. The one thing I did once we narrowed it down to two vendors was e-mailed each of them requesting copies of what their photostrips looked like. This sealed the deal for Peter @ Wilmington Photo Booth as his was far superior. Peter was flexible with pricing and really has been a joy to work with. I feel like each time I e-mail him on something he comes back with something else included with the package that I wasn't aware of. It really makes for a joyous situation when you know you are getting more and more for your money.
Save the Dates & Invitations- ABeach Designs
This was probably one of the hardest parts of wedding planning for me because it is so concreate and physical. If a florist messes up a flower or a DJ plays a wrong song you can always blame it on them, but when it comes to Save the Dates and Invites there are so many proofs that you are personally on the hook if something is wrong. But I can tell you- dealing with Angela made it SO much easier. Angela mocked up several different options for our Save the dates and worked with us, until it was JUST right. The invites didn't take much back and forth because she knew our style by then and WOW did she knock it out of the park. Everyone who RSVP's comments on how great the invites are. She hand cuts each piece for the invite and it pays off! I love knowing that my invites and save the dates won't be duplicated and they are uniquely ours.
