Hey everyone. Question about Dj's.  How did everyone go about choosing thier dj? Did you go by reccommendations....do you ever get to listen to them before you actually book them? Does anyone reccommed any in particular?

I used recommendations from TK and from my venue. Some DJs have clips of their work on their websites, but if not you can always meet with them in person (which I would recommend anyway). I booked with East Coast Event Group for my wedding next year, but I know that Synergetic and EBE usually get recommended on here as well. Budget might play a big role too.

I went by a friend's recommendation.  And my DJ has also worked events for my company before, so I did hear her.  I used Jenny Z Mobile DJ Service.  Jenny was fab. 

Synergetic and EBE are pretty highly recommended around here.  Avoid The Pros like it's your job.  They are cheap, but you totally get what you pay for.

Thanks everyone! I won money off a service from east coast even group at a bridals show...i was a little hesistant to look into them becasue i was afraid they more like the pros who never leave me alone!

my brother worked at 96.5 for a while, and a few of his friends are DJ's. I have jeff chiarelli (JC on wired 96.5, he does late night radio) Really nice, down to earth guy, can't wait for our wedding this weekend! You can find him on facebook... very reasonable too... actually pretty cheap from some DJ's.
