DMV - name change

So I was planning on going to the SS Office and DMV tomorrow to change my name. But a girl I work with told me she went yesterday and was there three hours.  I would go to the Norristown office probably because it's right near work. 
Anyone have a suggestion on what time or day to go?

I was there for 10 minutes. Go around 10, or around 2. Don't go real early, or after 3, and around noon the lunch time people go.

I could only get there very late int he afternoon, right before closing, because of restrictions with work and needing to be present to, you know, teaching my classes   When I went to the DMV around 4:00 one day and SS office at around 4:00 (maybe a little earlier) the next, there was hardly any wait.
