July 2012 Weddings

For the unmarried July Brides...

What does everyone still have left to do? I'm worried I might be missing something, so I'd love to hear what everyone has to do in the next week or two.

Also, what's on your list of things to bring to the ceremony, reception, and the place where you are getting ready the morning of the wedding?

Re: For the unmarried July Brides...

  •  I have  the thank-you's for the tables, and a few place card(12).
My best friend came over last night and finished up all the other diy.

Its so hard to believe that I'm under the two week mark!

We are getting married 5 hrs away so we are bringing everything but the kitchen sink!

Good Luck to everyone and congrats to all the Mrs.
  • Not a lot to do except hauling everything to where we're getting married. I'm leaving this Wednesday 4 hours away for the wedding.

FI still needs to buy gifts for some of the GMs.

    Pick up my dress.

    Find something borrowed and new.

Go to my haircut appointment on Wednesday for touch ups and another trail.

Get a pedicure/manicure next week Friday

Special girls day out on Thursday then bachelorette party on Sat/Sun.

Um... Can't think of anything else!

  • All I have left is to make and put together my place cards and table name cards. I also need to wrap my bridesmaid gifts and parents/Fi's gift. I need to pack a bag for my wedding night and un-pack some of the stuff I packed for the honeymoon as I'm sure my bag is over the weight limit, lol.

I can't wait to drop all of the ceremony/recpetion items off to my wedding planner on Wednesday morning. It will relieve a lot of stress I think once our extra room is cleared out of wedding items.

  • I just need to fill my favors with the mints..

Nothing special, just going to a local pub with everyone

Next week, I need to get my manicure/pedicure.
    Another Spray tan.
I need to hang my 2 parking signs and reception sign.
Friday morning were setting up our reception hall.
Friday night is our rehearsal dinner/party

    And I know i'm missing a lot....
Next weeks going to be soo stressful!

  • Just a few odds & ends and picking up my dress, hair appt sometime next week, and putting together the rest of the centerpieces.

I'm feeling pretty good about where I stand.

For the big day other than normal stuff, I'm bringing a broom to sweep off the patio (we're at a park), an extra box for more garbage, tape, scissors, etc.
  • I have to finish attaching the tags/escort cards to the favors and import music to my ipod for the ceremony. Cleaning a ton for my bachelorette party this Saturday which is at my house. Picking up my dresses, one on Friday, and the other next Monday. Next week I just have to drop off everything for the reception, get a mani/pedi, have my mehndi done (henna), drop of my dogs for boarding, get my e-ring cleaned.

My guest bedroom is a mess. Everything I need to bring to the hotel, ceremony and reception are scattered around. I need to organize everything next week and make lists. I also need to package up my bridesmaid gifts.

Not too bad of a to do list. Thankfully nothing is stressing me out, other than having to clean all week. That's not fun!

My final fitting is tonight - so I should be picking up my dress, if its not done - I might have a break down.

I have treat bags I'm going to fill with silver M&M's and put them in little "out of town" bags along with customized mugs.

I still have to print out our honeymoon itinerary and reservation stuff...

I need to put together all the stuff I bought for Fi's daughter (my MOH) and buy her a "thank you" card.

I need to get FI to try on his suit again to make sure we're good - and then I need to steam the pants because they are wrinkled....

I have training at work this week - I am hoping to just relax and clean the house this weekend.....

Next Wednesday is my last day of work until August 6th.

Next Wednesday I have a "brow sculpting" appointment..

Thursday - I am baking cookies for our picnic on Sunday...RING CLEANING! -Thursday night I'm getting my airbrush tan....

    Friday - mani-pedis at 9am!

I also need to cross my fingers and hope with all my might that the veil I ordered on Etsy gets here before the wedding!!

  • Too much it seems like!

I have to print pictures for our "wedding wall" and then frame/arrange/hang those.
Print all the signage that we've already made.
    Purchase kegs
Buy some little things like paper napkins, ice etc.

    Mani/pedi
Figure out what to do with my daughters (FG) hair because when she went to her dad's last weekend they cut about 6 inches off (without my permission) which now destroys the hair we had practiced for her.
    Find jewelry for FG

Figure out a stand for the cupcakes

Get everything to the reception site.
    Site up tables/chairs

    Make boutenniers, corsages and bouquets.
    Wrap gifts for bridal party.

Pack for our mini family honeymoon

Pick up tables and chairs from the church for our rehearsel dinner
Purchase food for our rehearsel dinner.
Make sure FI invited people to the rehearsel dinner that he was supposed to lol

I'm sure as the week goes on I'll think of about a billion more things but woohoo only 5 more days!

  • I have a brunch of items to buy at Costco for the Sunday morning brunch.  I still have to pack and there's numerous amount of items I need to bring to the wedding, (too long to list).  I also have my favors to make but I can't do that until Thursday at the earliest.  Other than that FI and I are in pretty good shape.

In terrifying news, I now have a job interview mere days before the wedding (I'm a July 28th bride).

    Small scale:
Buy pens for the signature frame
    Fix necklace
    Borrow something
Practice first dance (and continue going to lessons)
    Write cards for bridesmaids
Write card for officiant (FI has to get a gift for the officiant, too)
    Write cards for parents
    Get ring cleaned
    Mani/pedi
Confirm time bridal party members are arriving in area

    Medium scale:
    Finish vows
    Confirm ceremony with officiant
    Finish table numbers

    Larger scale:
    Figure out program poster
    Figure out post-reception plans
    Pack for wedding and honeymoon
  • EK. Good luck with the interview! I finished my bustle yesterday, now Mom is going to press my dress and veil. Pick p my ring from being sized tomorrow. Need to put the finishing touches on programs and then assemble them. Both the place I'm getting ready and the reception are private residences so I've already packed and moved a lot of things. We are catering it ourselves, so the few days before will be busy. FI still hasn't shopped for a vest so we need that. Groomsman gifts, and I'm sure a whole lot more!
  • I have to finish putting together the centerpieces. Print out day-of timeline for a few people. Finish laundry and start packing for honeymoon, friday is nail and hair appointments (leaving after the reception to the airport!) That is about it for pre-wedding. Day of, my girls are bringing my dress, and I'll end up at the venue around 10:30am-11am to start getting my hair and make-up done... Ceremony start at 1... I have a bag of breathmints, a couple sewing kits, eye drops, a pair of flip flops for when my feet start killing me in my high heels... An outfit to change into (cute tank top that says Just Married! And a pair of capris to be comfy on the plane) We are almost done!!!! I can't wait! I am 6 days out now...
  • I have everything done except the cookies. I made the dough yesterday, cutting them and baking today, and decorating on Wednesday. Thrusday we are packing suitcases and the car and leaving on Friday morning for our wedding on Saturday.

  • I don't think I have much to do:

I just have to finish my favors, put my escort cards in alpha order, pack for the wedding night, pack for honeymoon, wrap WP gifts and that pretty much covers it.
