What is yours? Does it include albums? I'm not sure what I want to spend yet.

After booking my venue, the photographer was my biggest priority.

I am in the Boston area and most things around here, start at $3000 for 6 hours, 2 photographers, a disk of images and an online gallery.  Albums could bring the total up to $4000 easily so I decided against it and will make up my mind after it's all over.

penny where are you getting married ? (i'm from boston too)

My photog is $3150 for 2 photographers, unlimited photo rights, 6 hrs (i think), and includes an engagement session.  I budgeted roughly $3k and i'm so excited that i found a great photographer for that price!

My photographer is actually a friend too, so I got a pretty good deal. I'm paying $2500 (originally $3000), and this includes unlimited time on the day of the wedding, 2 photographers, rights to the pictures, an engagement session, and he said he'd make an album for him at cost :]

For me my Photog in my area(Rhode Island) cost me 2800 with all day coverage (8-9 hrs) with 2 photographers, an engagment shoot, and 1 photo album and the rights and the disk to all my images and they redo300 images.

Our photog is $3400 which includes an engagment session for 2 hours 10 hours of coverage 1 album, 2 parent albums, 100 thank you cards rights to our pics on a high resolution dvd and also several wall photos.

 All for $2400. To have a videographer it would cost another $1000-1500- I think. So we are going to have someone videotape it with our video camera. I may hire one of my son's friends- not sure yet.

Our budget is $3000. The average photographer in our area runs roughly $4500-$5000. We booked out photographer for $2999 +tax. This includes 2 photgraphers for 8 hours, complete rights, engagement session, CD of all pics, and the 40 page wedding album.

Well I won my photgrpaher as part of a contest to win your weding. It was a $2500 prize pakg for the photographer section with an option to upgrade, which we are so it will be a total of 3500$ which includes all day coverage, engagement session, TY cards, guest book using the engagement pics, 1 40pg wedding book and then 2 smaller 20 pg parent albums, dvd slideshow and online proof gallery, and  disc with our jpegs of the chose proofs.

Our photographer is running us just over $1600 it includes 4 hours of photobooth, rights to the pictures, a disk, 2 photographers (1 all day coverage, 1 half day), an 11x? photo framed...I don't have the sheet with me but I think there might be a few more things..

1900 for our photographer/videographer combo for 8 hours.  Hubby's cousin is also going to do pictures (all day) for $400.  Neither include albums.  I'm going to design our own later on.

I am also from the Boston area, ours  is 3600.00 for 8 hours with 2 photographers and an album.  This was also high on my priority list. After we booked the venue. We looked for a photographer we loved.

We just booked ours as well. $2600 for 8 hrs., two photographers, a cd with our pictures, and an album for us. We also are doing engagement pictures separately which will be $125. Dustin Weiss Photography.

Jeez!! Now I get why experts say, "Go destination.. it's cheaper than you think!" The highest we're looking at is $800 :-\ Sorry Heather.. lol not much help. Although I will say that $800 is a bit pricey for this economy so it all seems to even out in the end. Good luck with the decision!

actually the destinatio weddings are NOT cheaper contrary to belief espcially since everyone is doing it now and resorts are scoring in on this.  and the resort photographers are not very good, at least not the one for the wedding I went to the Dominican Republic for.  Also, tyou got nothing as far as photos went, I think like 6 different shots which they printed on 6X*'s and then 1 10X14 framed shot, and you didnt get a photographer for your reception or anything , just the ceremony and 30 mins. afterwards, so about a total of 1 hr.

Ours is 3000 with 8 hours coverage with second shooter, engagement session, all rights to prints, and we won a 16X24 gallery wrapped canvas of any print we choose from our e-session.  I'm thinking this could be guestbook option! :-)

Well of course if you go through resorts to get vendors! They know you're coming from elsewhere and will do anything to try and overprice things. So I'm not surprised that happened. I'm sure it's tough though if you don't have someone who really knows where to get good deals to help you out. Really unfortunate though! :-\

We booked our photographer for $1250, it includes all day coverage, two shooters, a cd with all photos and rights, 300 (I think) touched up pics and an e-session. She also said that she would touch up any pics that I really loved that didnt make her "favorites" cut. We dont get any prints, but those are so inexpensive to do on my own, that it was not a deal breaker for me.
