Candy Buffet?

Hi girls!  I was wondering what you all think of candy buffets.  Do you think they are cost effective?  Help me out... I'm new to the posting thing!

    I am doing one.

    Bride2Be just did one but shes not around here much...

    Wish I could help on where to buy candy.

    Look at the classifieds board for people getting rid of jars and scoops

    My oldest did it for her wedding 2 years ago - and the guests LOVED it! There was hardly any candy left!  LOL  She had a "Lancaster County" country theme, so we put the candy in various sized crocks from my collection.

    Not sure if next daughter will do it or not, since she would have to purchase the containers because her theme is totally different.

    Do it if you really like the idea- otherwise it seems that just doing small candy favors for each guest might be less expensive.
