Budget outdoor wedding?!

Hi All!  I'm new to this so bare with me!  We're trying to do a 15k wedding that's outdoors in the summer of 2012 (yea a long ways away).  I'm a horrible budgeter but I'll be doing most things DIY, cheap dress, but would like a reasonable outdoor venue for ceremony and reception.  Some places I'm looking into are Evergreen Lake House, Crystal Rose, Mt Vernon event center.  Anyone have thoughts on the lake house especially?  Or any other ideas for an outdoor wedding w/a view?  We think we'll have maybe 100-150 people.  Thanks!

Hi there!  I know a few people that have had a wedding at the Evergreen Lake House.  Overall they had a great experience, but the facility is very strict with there rules.  Only beer and wine, no hard alcohol.  And the way you get to choose your date is a little unorthodox....you are part of a raffle and if your name is picked for a certain date than that's the date you get.  That being said....it's a beautiful venue!

I'm getting married at Arrowhead Golf course which has an unbelievable view and outside ceremony site.  It's a bit pricey though and I think the only way it would fit in your budget is if you had it on a Friday or Sunday evening or saturday morning.

You should check out Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield.  They have a really cute red barn and outside ceremony site.  Supposedly they are really cheap, but might be a little small for the amount of people you are having.  We did our engagement photos there and loved it!

    Good luck!

You could check out Red Rocks. We're getting married at the trading post and it is gorgeous. Also, Boettcher Mansion is a nice spot and would work in your budget.

We are getting married at the Crystal Rose on Lookout Mountain. Price wise we are spending $12k total, will have about 100 guests. The CR helps with everything and has preferred vendors that they work with all the time....which means they all know how to put on a great day for you with little stress.

The Highlands Ranch location is reallllly nice. We did our tasting there and i loved it!

Check out their FB page for pictures and whatnot.

Thanks everyone! Ya I know that the lake house has a lot of restrictions and their raffle for the date is strange.  I was also nervous if I didn't get my date there then other places may have been booked already.  I'll have to go check out those other places.

We have a similar budget.  We are also holding our ceremony at the Trading Post for Red Rocks and then holding our reception at the Retreat at Solterra.  They allow you to use all of your own vendors, so you get to control cost there as well.
