Today, we have officially been engaged for one month! It feels like just yesterday!

The month went by so quickly, but I already have a church, reception venue, band, dress, and flowers.  I guess that's pretty good for the first month, right?? It still feels very surreal that my wedding dress is actually hanging in my closet though.

And now only 7 months and six days to go!

You have been very busy , but that is a good thing you are ahead of the game.  Having your wedding gown hanging in your closest is a good feeling you can pull it out and have something to smile at on a bad day.

Wow! that is a great! Busy Month! I have my dress hanging in my closet as well. Can't wait to wear it again! We have been engaged for a year and a half so i had time to plan. Good for you!

Wow that is a busy month. I got engaged over Memorial weekend but didn't start thinking about a wedding until September. My summer was just too crazy.

great planning!!!   we had pretty much every vendor within the first 2 months!  It makes things a litle smoother!!  What does your dress look like?

Wow, that is awesome!  Sadly, I won't see my dress again until late May/June. I am kind of hoping that they lied and it will come in a lot sooner.

Wow you got a lot done in the first month!! It took me like 3 months to get all that done! At least now you can relax a bit during the holidays.

Well, actually, I knew the proposal would be coming soon (we had been together for 5 years and we had kind of already decided we wanted to get married this summer) but the actual day was quite a surprise.

But really, I had no clue what I wanted wedding wise up until like a week after we got engaged. I decided I wanted to use deep plum and grey as my colors first. And everything sort of starting falling into place after that. My wedding style will be vintage English garden. (Though all done inside because Louisiana is crazy hot in July) Pretty much the whole style of the wedding is so "me" that it became easy to pull things together.

And this is my dress. I loved it because it has this awesome silver embroidery and beading in flowers and vines which totally goes with my theme and will compliment FI's grey suit perfectly. Plus, I loved the way the embroidery continues down the side of the dress and kind of creeps out from under the pick ups. lol And I have both a cathedral length and chapel length veil with the same matching beadwork and embroidery that I'm super excited about!
