"Jersey" Fabric Bridesmaid dress----will it stick out too much???

So I told my bridesmaids to all chose a dress in "Marine" blue from David's Bridal in any style they wanted, though I would prefer it was satin or chiffon (mainly to stay away from taffeta). One of my bridesmaids just found out she is pregnant and will be about 6 months along at our wedding. She found a dress she likes today, but it is "jersey" fabric. I'm worried it might be less dressy and/or stick out more against the other dresses (which are all either satin or chiffon).Any thoughts??? I'm really more concerned about all the girls being comfortable in their dresses, so I'm probably going to tell her it is fine....but just the same I am a little concerned if the jersey is a very different feel (like more casual) than the other fabrics. It is style F13095 if you want to look. My other girls chose dresses that are mostly satin with maybe some chiffon. Thanks!

FWIW, I think it is a really pretty dress and will probably work well for your pregnant bridesmaid. I may be biased, because all my girls are choosing their own dresses, but I think that it will look fine. While jersey is more casual, I think that the dress is really pretty and the fabric on the straps and waist (charmeuse) adds a sophisticated element to the dress.

I could be wrong, but I think "jersey" fabric is simply a cotton blend- like t-shirt material.  i am all about letting people pick out their dress and being comfy, but I am afraid this might stick out like a sore thumb.....

I think it will be fine. The dress itself is very elegant, some people may notice, but nobody is going to care, or remember that one preggo bridesmaid's dress was a little different. They will all look beautiful, especially if they are comfortable in their dresses. GL!

Jersey is a slinky knit. While it will be distinctly different from the other dresses, it will be comfortable and still look good.

I think it will be fine, my BMs all had different material and I was worried about the same thing. But in the pictures, they all look like black dresses. As long as the colors go together, I think it will be great, and much easier for your preggo BM so she shouldn't need any alterations. Just make sure she gets a size or two bigger than what she is currently wearing :o)

One of my girls is wearing that dress. another of my girls is preggo and wearing a different jersey dress from db. We went for alterations last night and the jersey was very accomodating to her bump. The satin part has to be let out because of her bust growth(occurs in the 1st and 3rd trimester fyi haha), easy fix, the DB dresses allow for about 3/4 of an inch. We were also told that it was good we came in early, as the bust part can be let out now, but the hem needed to wait until a week before the wedding to make sure of the bump growth. I think the dress will blend fine with all different dresses, or you can look at the entire line of jersey dresses, they have several now. All of your girls can be in jersey. My girls LOVE how comfortable they are.
