Overwhelmed - Planner?

Hi all,I am just a little overwhelmed with starting this process.  Does anyone recommend a wedding planner?  I don't want to spend a ton of money on a vendor, but right now, I think we need it!

Lauren is fantastic!! she is a graphic designer who does event management who also has a background in floral design. She's an all in one package! lauren@itsquintessential.com She has great resources and vendor relationships as she's been doing this for years.

I know at first that it can be very daunting, but taking one step at a time is the key! I'm helping two knotties right now with their weddings sort of as a hobbie right now. Feel free to contact me if you need any help/advice. mandrewsr at yahoo dot com

I hired a wedding planner and it was definitely the best money we spent on any vendor for the wedding. It really saved my sanity.  Ours saved us enough money in negotiating with other vendors to cover her services.  If you can't afford one for everything, you could have someone do planning help- or just Day of Coordination (DOC).  If nothing else- I think that DOC is really important- that way she deals with crises so you don't have to.Our planner was awesome, but she's in Oregon, so it won't help you much.   Thereare a couple people on the CO nest boards that do wedding/event planning....I think one is LittleMissGreenEyes

I was married in June and we used Something Classic Events.  Like pp said, it was the best money we ever spent.  She saved us so many headaches and time.
