Make-up

Hi girls, I saw a few posts for suggestions for make-up services on the wedding day. The ones I checked into were $150 or higher for the bride's make-up. Is anyone using someone cheaper than this? Or does anyone have a friend (who maybe does not run a business of doing weddings) that is more reasonable? I just think that is a little steep! Thanks!

Check into Beauty on Location by Liz...she was the most affordable person that I found (& I needed someone to travel up to the mountains)...so she's probably even cheaper if she's in town & not having to travel too far. :-)  Good luck!
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!

We're using Hair on Wheels, they are 125 pp thats hair and makeup and travel up to Breckenridge. That also included a trial for me. They were great and the makeup artist uses MAC, one of the best makeups for photographs.

I LOVED my make-up lady and she ended up doing my hair too.  Check out my bio for Lea Surrell.

If you don't need someone to travel to you, you can look into getting it done at the MAC counter at Macy's Cherry Creek or at the MAC store or really any makeup counter at the mall.  The MAC store charges you $50.  The MAC at Macy's is $50 in product.  They also do freelance work so you may want to call them and see if someone will travel to you, but I don't know what the rates are for that.  I know the girl I was working with was traveling to Breckenridge for a wedding this Saturday.

I had my makeup done at the Prescriptives counter and they didn't charge anything for the trial run or for the final makeup session, but I did purchase makeup for touchups (lipstick, powder). hint- I just went to each counter until I found someone who's own makeup looked nice.

Try Rachael at Girls and Curls. She is super talented and VERY reasonably priced. She specializes in weddings so you will have great photos. She also does airbrush which, I'm told by my photographer friend, is excellent for photos AND it is semi waterproof so it lasts all day! I think that is the best part! :) Her phone is 303-881-7130 and her site is www.girlsandcurls.com. Good luck! Oh, and she travels!

Try Ciao Bella Hair Studios in Longmont. They travel, too. $100 for bride for makeup (travel rate), plus travel fees. Less if you get it done at their studios.
