So I am getting married Dec. 5th, and I'm not sure where to have it. I'm in the Denver area. Any ideas that are affordable?

    I was looking for a place near Denver and chose to be married at The Meadows at Marshdale (in Evergreen) on December 3. It snowed 17 inches!!! What a glorious wedding it was... the fresh snow against the Red Barn and the blue sky... so magical... Tammy was great to work with and we loved that the simple centerpieces were included. Also, the linens that are available are beautiful. It made decorating easy since the Barn is, in itself, lovely. The entire wedding party and out-of-town family/friends stayed in the guest houses and the B&B across the street. Everything was contained to the meadow, which was also a plus. We had our rehearsal dinner and post wedding breakfast at their Meadowview House. The kids had a blast on the private playground! Everything was perfect. We are returning to their Gate House for our anniversary...

    Depending on the size, the University Club is pretty nice. They don't charge a room fee, you just pay for the food and beverage. I ended up not using them (because it was too small), but Molly the event coordinator was very nice and helpful. This was the most affordable option I found downtown.

    I know a number of knotties have used the Space Gallery and really loved it. You can bring in all your own venders (and booze!), and seem to be reasonably priced. Good luck!
