Shower gifts

I'm having my bridal shower tomorrow and was wondering for those of you ladies that have had theirs, did you give a gift to those that hosted it for you? I know this is super late in asking but I've had things going on lately and today's the first day my head is clear enough to think of something important like this! I have 2 MOH's and I do have really nice gifts for them for the wedding. Not saying that's enough...just asking for nice, honest answers.

I gave both of my shower hosts gifts. I bought them pearl rings to make them more special on wedding day... I also wrote them really nice letters. I've seen shower gifts as simple as a cute umbrella. you can be really girly and cute with those haha. Every time I've hosted a shower, i've gotten a gift in return. Not that I'd expect one, but its a nice gsture for taking the time and money to do something for you. Chances are they are spending some $$, its nice to acknowledge that.

I got my BM's lotions and body washes from Bath and Body Works and a framed picture of all of us from my Bachelorette to Vegas. I have nice gifts for the wedding, but I thought I would just get them something small for the effort of planning the shower.

That's what I thought and I really appreciate everything they're doing. Just didn't know the exact "protocol" and didn't want them to think I don't care. I've been a little spacey lately so I wanted to bounce it off some of you ladies! I was thinking maybe some cool stemless wine glasses and a nice bottle of wine since they're both really into wine???

I didn't.  My mom planned most of it.  My two MOH didn't really do much to help plan (busy with school and work).

Alcohol is almost always the perfect gift ;) If they're into wine you can get them some nice CO bottles or a specific region that they may be into. I did write my girls nice cards too since they had to deal with my well-intentioned (read: over-involved) mom.

I am not giving them a very big gift (I'm having a bridal shower that my MOH's are hosting over labor day).  I'm thinking either a gift certificate to Starbucks or some nice bath/body lotions from Bath and Body Works. My aunt had a shower for me about a month ago, and I sent her some Omaha steaks (because I'm living in Omaha, I thought it would be something neat and different).  Also my uncle helped a lot so I wanted something he could enjoy too!!

I think wine is a perfect thank you gift. Good idea!

I agree that it is nice to get them a little something.  Two of my BMs hosted a "girls day" for me and I gave them each a bottle of Colorado wine (they live out of state). If your girls are wine drinkers, I definitely think a bottle of wine, wine glasses, wine charms, etc are a great gift.  Something else I just found recently are chocolates that you pair with wine.  I found them at World Market.  So fun!

My best friend hosted mine with the help of my mom. I gave my BM a movie that she always borrows from me and a MAC (makeup) kit she wanted. She loved it! And I'm taking my mom to get a pedi the day we go shopping for her dress. If they are into wine I say that's a perfect gift! Wine is always good in my book!Have a great time tomorrow!!
