Venue

I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with the Ellis Ranch Events Center in Loveland?  FI and I are looking for a place that will let us do our own food and alcohol without many stipulations and an affordable pricetag.  We've been having a hard time finding something to fit our needs, but these guys look to be getting pretty close.  I'm wondering about staff (friendliness/ease to deal with), pricing, and overall experience.

I am not sure about the Ellis Ranch, but just in case you need another idea- The Bertolin Barn in north Longmont is very affordable and also close to Loveland.  You can bring in your own catering, alcohol etc.  www.bertolinbarn.com It is also a bluegrass venue, but you can also rent it for weddings and events.  GL either way!

My daughter had her wedding at Ellis Ranch in July.  It is a beautiful venue, and Shawn Ellis is very helpful.  You can bring your own catering and drinks (we did beer/wine/champagne, and what we didn't use, the liquor store bought back from us).  Ellis provides the bartending service and dj.  And there is so much room!  The carriage is extra but really, really nice. The only downside is, while they supply the ceremony site, reception venue, tables and chairs, they do not have staff to set the tables with tablecloths, etc.  You have to go in there and do that in the morning (along with your rehearsal).  But we had so much help from family/friends that it didn't take too long.  I highly recommend Ellis Ranch.

If you don't mind my asking, how were they price wise? I've emailed and phoned them in the last couple of days but haven't gotten a reply, I'm assuming because they're probably quite busy right now, and I'm anxious to know... Thanks ladies
