RAVE! Porchlight Images Photography

So, this is kind of an unusual post since I've never actually used or even met the husband/wife team of Porchlight in real life, but I figured I should share to keep the good karma circle moving. We're working with a very small budget, but the photographer is our #1 concern since that's the only thing we'll have to show for the day (besides each other), after it's all said and done. After reading a few rave reviews of Porchlight's work and skimming their website and blog, I decided to email them for prices. Unfortunately their prices start at more than FI is willing to consider spending (I'd be willing to cut other things to spend more on the photog), but Stacy, wife of the husband wife photog team, offered to recommend another photog who could better meet our budget needs. Now, don't be confused, I'm not posting to advertise the other guy, but to remind everyone how rare it is to have someone trying to run a business offer up the name of a competitor upon finding out that they won't be getting my business. Aside from all the other great reviews Porchlight has gotten here, that little bit of help she offered made me wish we could afford to use them even more. Long story long, take a look at their site/blog. They seem to be the kind of decent people I'd LOVE to give my business/money to instead of some random schmuck just trying to make a buck. Since I can't, I thought I'd spread the news so maybe some of you can. http://www.porchlightimages.com/PS... I swear I don't know these people. I just really love it when you find someone in the business willing to go a little above and beyond without coaxing. Oh, and did I mention she responded with lightening speed? We exchanged 3 emails in just 3 hrs. I'm pretty sure that's a record for vendor correspondence.
