I really don't want to do the whole cake and Cake Cutting thing at our reception. Are we committing "wedding reception sin" if we don't do that part?? Any input?

    Nope.  Cake doesn't have to be a ceremony or focal point if you don't want it to be . . . . you can serve another dessert, or just serve cut-up sheet cake without the fuss.

    Heck no.  We are not even doing cake at our wedding.  We are doing ice cream cupcakes and don't plan on cutting them for anyone's delight.  Every wedding I've been to, I've missed the cake cutting and haven't felt like I missed any cosmic experience.  If you're not into it, skip it.
