jury duty

has anyone done it?  I have to call in an hour to see if I have to go in on monday.  If I do have to go in, what should I expect?TIA

    I did it when I lived in Grand Junction.  If you have to go in, bring a magazine (you have periods of time where you have to wait & do nothing) LOL When I had jury duty, we had to get to the courthouse by 8am, check in, watch a video explaining the process of jury duty & then we were called into a courtroom where the jury selection started.  Those who weren't chosen were out of the courtroom by about 10:30-11am...the rest of us were there for the remainder of the day for the courtcase. I actually really enjoyed my jury duty experience (fascinating how the court system works) :)
