Venue near water

Hello!

I am looking for a venue near a nice, reflective body of water to hold the ceremony as well as a (very?) nearby site to hold the reception. We are expecting about 150 at the event and are on a nice little budget. Any recommendations? Places to avoid?

Thanks for any help!

the cherry creek yacht club is on the water:

you can also get married at the washington park boat house:

unfortunately that's all i can come up with, due to the limited amount of water here in denver!

    Thanks!

I looked at the Perry Park website, it looks great! I don't know if it's too far to go for all the Texans I'll have in Denver. If anyone has anymore ideas I am MORE than open to them. Thanks so much for the responses so far.

I'm looking for some great location near the water, near Denver that has the splendor of the mountains. Forgot to mention the mountain part! Sorry

    Thanks!

I second the Evergreen Lake House recommendation.  It's beautiful!

Perry Park Country Club is a really nice outdoor venue for pics.  I loved that aspect of the country club.
However, the decor on the inside is really dated and kinda small.  For your amount of guests I don't think it would be comfortable and not conducive to dancing.

I would have considered it if it wasn't for the event coordinator, Judy.  She was really scatter brained and disorgainized.  I have an acquantaince getting married there this month and when I asked her if she was working with them, she looked up their paperwork and had written the Fiance name down as Mark...his name is Nick.  That showed me lack of attention...not cool!  Plus, you actually have to have a temporary membership to the club to have your wedding there, and that is about $200...which doesn't go towards the wedding.

That being said...if you arent totally sold on water...check out Arrowhead Golf Course.  One of the most beautiful places in Colorado and VERY close to town.
