Alteration - where?

50 days left before the big day and with being on very top of our budget I still have to alter my dress. I need to bustle it and take it in in my hips.
I was wondering where would be the best and also the cheapest place to have it altered. I got the dress at Davids Bridal. Should I go there or to Wedding seamstress in Arvada or go to Christine Hoyt who I read great reviews about....
Any advice? Where did you girls get your dresses altered? How much did it cost?

There is a place in Longmont under Bridal Connection, I don't remember her name but you could call them (Bridal Connection)  that's who does their alterations and get her number. We went there for my sisters wedding and the bustle was $7.00 and our bridesmaid dress to take it in was like $30.00. She is very good, and it is very inexpensive!! She said she gets tons of people who but their dress from David's and bring it there!

I used Christine Hoyt and highly recommend her, I found her prices very reasonable: my bustle was $60 and to have my zipper back replaced with a corset/lace up back was $100.

I was very impressed with my bustle - really showed off the beadwork of my train and held up all day (I'd heard horror stories of bustles breaking during the reception).

    Good luck!

Unfortunately Christine Hoyt is going on vacation in septmber and wouldn't be able toaster my dress. After doing more research and reading reviews I went to the Wedding Seamstress in arvada. I just got back from there. Customer service was great! I was a little early for my appointment and had to wait till  Deede, the owner was free from her previous appointment. I was greeted by one of the seamstress who made sure I was comfortable. The fitting went very well. I needed bustle, and my dress be taken in at waist and on sides down along my thighs to keep the mermaids form of the dress. The whole thing came up to $150 ! After reading a lot of different reviews online from other alteration places I was expecting twice as much!  I will update you all how the dress turned up in 2weeks.  Ania

I just got mine back from the Wedding Seamstress and I am very pleased- a bustle, a few hooks adjusted and shortening straps-all for $80 not bad at all.
