Escort Cards/Seating Chart?

Hey ladies - I'm trying to narrow down what I want to do to seat my guests, curious to hear what other brides are doing. Are you using escort cards? Seating charts? Feel free to share your ideas and pics! :)

I debated with this too.  I really like seating charts but they were out of the budget.  Use escorts cards. I was extremely happy with the decision when I overheard some guests asking my mother where their table was rather than even looking at the cards!!!   But go with what you love the most and whats most budget friendly for you.

I will be using escort cards as well. I will have to check out the vistaprint ones as I think I still have some credit there!

I am doing escort cards because my venue has a great round table to set them up on and they look very cool all set up.

I DIYed my escort cards... stole the idea from Martha Stewart Weddings magazine about a year ago.

I cut out hearts from cardstock (or rather, I gave cardstock to paprika who cut out 200 hearts FOR ME because she has a cricut and it took her like 10 minutes), wrote the name & table number for the person on the front, and their menu choice on the back.  Then you cut up the center from the bottom of the heart (not snip it in half, you want to cut a little more than halfway up) and then bend the one piece behind the other.  Secure it with a glue gun, and snip off the little triangles that stick out of the sides.

The result is a puffy heart that kind of sits up.

Also, and this is kind of a "duh" thing I feel like, but I"ve been to weddings where they didn't do this... arrange your escort cards in alphabetical order.  Not by table order.  I've been to weddings where they're organized by table, and it's so hard to find your name!!

I also went to a wedding last year where the escort cards were on lollypops.  They had those big colored lolly pops, and the name & table number was on a sticker taped over the label, and then the lolly pops were arranged in florist foam.  Adorable idea.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

These are all super cute ideas. RA - thanks for the input! I love hearing stories about what other people have done for their weddings. And I'll be sure to stick with ABC order (I was at a wedding that arranged by table number too - was such a pain to find your card!)

We had sort of a wine theme going on. We printed escort cards on linen cardstock and then put them in corks. We cut off a little on the side of each cork and then layed them on that flat side and cut a slit in the top to put the card. We put up a cute sign about all the corks coming from bottles we shared with eachother, family, and friends. I ended up really loving them.
