Changing name with the USPS...?

I was wondering if any of the recently married ladies have changed their name (but not their address) with the USPS? My name has changed, but we still live in the same house.  Do I fill out a  change of addres form with my new name, but the same addess?  Do they have a special form this?  I can't seem to find one online.  Thanks for any info!

This is more of a rant than a helpful response, but here goes anyway....

I forwarded my mail with the post office because I moved in with my H after we got married.  Currently:

    - Mail that is addressed to me with my old last name and my old address is not getting forwarded. (at this point, I have NO idea where this mail is ending up)
    - Mail that is addressed to my old last name at my new address is getting returned to sender.
    - Mail that is addressed to my new last name at my new address is getting delivered.

Go figure.  I've talked to at least 4 different people at the post office and no one has been really helpful or can tell me how to remedy the situation.

I wouldn't think that you'd need to change your name with the PO if you didn't move.

Oh Fran!  That sucks!  I'll let you all know if I find anything out next week- I'll probably stop by there on Monday to ask and see what they say....  another thing I didn't think about was my car registration....

I just registered my car on Thursday and they said that you have to change your name/address with the drivers license place AND with the DMV. They said it's not the same. Which would explain why I never got the notice to renew the registration on my car & got a ticket for expired plates. Good to know. I thought, "I have to keep this in mind for when I change my name."
