So it was all go wedding while we were in Philadelphia. I was ready to kill my mom during much of the trip so over all I think I'm glad I live far away.
The day after we landed my mom, FI and I went to see Nilah. FI sat in her living room reading the newspaper and my mom and I went to try on the dress. The background for those of you who haven't been around for two years- We got engaged, I came home for Christmas went to a POB sample sale bought a dress, hated it as soon as I got home. Looked at a ton of other dresses, but couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Took the dress I had to Nilah she said she could make what I had into what I wanted, score.
I now love what she is making, got a bit teary. Still looking for a sash.
Then my mom made me try on 1000 veils even though
1 my foot is broken and it is difficult for me to stand
2 I decided to make my own since I want a simple veil and refuse to pay $300 for said piece of tulle.
We also cut 2 layers of crinny out of my dress and I like the skirt more now that it isn't taking over the room.
I saw some fab ladies and gents in the next day or two. ;-)
We met with our DJ and photog and then checked out 4th street looking for stuff for my sash. I think I maybe better off just buying one from Nilah, but now I know. However I will get my tulle from 4th street.
My parents picked out my photog and DJ and I'm very happy with both. FI explain how a reception works to the DJ which was embarrassing, but there you go. FI hasn't been to many weddings and only one US wedding which was off beat.
FI also found a really nice sweater a J Crew for $13.99 while waiting for the DJ, score.
Dress when I bought it

Dress now. I will have a sash with some bling and she will add straps as well. She is also adding buttons all the way down the back of the dress.
My mom sucks at taking pictures btw.
