Wedding under a tree

does anyone know of any "venues" that have a fabulous old tree to get married under?

We have a guest list of 50 and want very private and intimate; renting out a venue that holds up to 200 seems silly for a small, private affair when we really just want the old, twisty tree.

Reception to be held in Lakewood/Golden area.

I would check local parks, but I don't know that area very well. Good luck!

Have you tried googling "twisty old trees Denver"? Or some such variation? :) GL!

i have been out to Boettcher...beautiful, but i guess i am just looking for something that feels like less of a venue and more of a *special place* to meet...tree, meadow, field....see below

My fiance and I are getting married under a big cottonwood tree at the Den at Fox Hollow in Lakewood. Check it out! The pictures online really don't do it justice. You can have the ceremony and reception basically right next to each other. You can't see it in these photos, but there's a big branch of the cottonwood that forms a high arch over where you would stand. Good luck!
