Dress shopping recs please!

My friend is going dress shopping in Denver tomorrow and since it's been 3 years since I went shopping myself I was hoping I could get some bridal salon recommendations.  So where did you find your dress or have the  best experience shopping for one?

Thanks!

I did not have a good experience at Amandas.  But of all the places I did try I loved Bridal Collection in DTC!  Very nice designer gowns at great prices!  And great one on one attention!

I too had a "not so stellar" experience at Amandas but LOVED the Bridal Collection at DTC.  I've also heard several girls on the board rave about Anna Be

On another note I went to Priscilla's of Botson in Cherry Creek North this weekend. It was really not worth the trip. Dresses were seriously over priced (CC North, I know) and there was not one dress in white... all were ivory or off white. The people really did not seem to helpful and the selection was minimal as well...

I know that thsi isn't traditional, but have you checked out dresses online yet?  We did a lot of research about what type of dress we were looking for and then looked to see if there was a shop in town that carried the dress.  It saved a lot of time from driving from store to store and we were able to see what dresses we were interested.  Also....there are several companies who sell dresses on line.   They are legimate vendors and they sell the true dress, not a knock off, for a huge discount!    I know most brides don't feel comfortable doing that, but we did that for the BM dresses for a friend of mine and they were GREAT!!!  We got the dresses for about 1/2 off what they were charging at the store.
