No Wedding Party - Honoring Friends?

Hi there,

getting married in July and my fiance and i decided not to have a wedding party (its a destination wedding in CO)...has anyone done this before?

although we aren't having a wedding party, i still wanted to do something to honor my closest friends. any suggestions?!

    There is no need to have a WP.  You just need someone to sign the marriage certificate. It's less stress on you! 

    Just have a big party at the end of the day, with good food and music.  That's all people could ever want!  IMHO

    I think not having a wedding party is totally fine.  I saw someone suggest on another board that a good way to honor friends that aren't in the wedding party is to get them some kind of corsage to wear at the wedding.  That way they still feel special but don't have any of the stress of being in a wedding party.
