RSVPs for Events (Destination wedding) - HELP!

Hello -

My fiance and I live and are getting married in the mountains in Colorado, however all of our family & friends will be traveling to come to the wedding.

We are planning 2 events during the weekend of our wedding that we will need RSVPs for: golfing for men the day before the wedding and white water rafting trip day after the wedding.

How do we ask for RSVPs for these events? Should we include a separate RSVP card in the invitation for them? Since guests will be expected to pay for these things, do we have to tell them that or include the price in the RSVP request?

Please help! I need to get the invitation wording finalized and am struggling with what to do about this.

Side note- we do have a wedding web site but no RSVP feature on that as of now (we can upgrade to get this feature).

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I would make it clear to your guests that they are paying for the extra activities.  I'd also include the price upfront as well.  I've seen this multiple RSVP done two ways.  One way is to put all the events on one RSVP card, so guests can check line by line what they will or will not be participating in.  The second way is to do the multiple RSVP function on your website.  Both ways worked out well.

Sounds like you probably need separate invitations for each event, especially if there are different parameters for each one.  If there's anything guests would have to pay for, definitely mention the price on the invite, otherwise they'll assume you're paying.

Can you set up a website and describe things there, then have guests email you if they are interested?

thanks! I spoke with some other people and some suggested doing evites for the events to keep them separate from the wedding invitation (since there is already so much in the invitation itself). I think we might go this route and set something up on our web site.

    appreciate the feedback!
