I live in Springs am looking for a good alterations place here or near Denver who isn't too expensive. any suggestions?

    i have heard christine hoyt is very good, but very expensive.  i have an appointment with the wedding seamstress in arvada next week.  the website is theweddingseamstress.com.  they are supposed to be more reasonable, but since they don't do quotes over the phone (obviously) i can't say how much it will cost.  they do have a price list on their site though.

    Deedee from the Wedding Seamstress is great.  She is currently fixing the mess of a dress I bought.  My alterations are pricey but I'm also have A LOT done to fix this dress.  Simple alterations are very reasonable.  She is super nice to work with and I trust her, which is the most important thing to me.  Check her out.  She'll give you a price quote before she even pins the dress so there is no pressure to use her if you think her prices are too high.  I think you'll like though.

    Love Deedee. She did my dress too, it was used and the seamstress who altered it before I bought it messed it up so it took some work to fix. She is really good about being upfront with the pricing and her work is top notch. Also she makes great veils that are  more affordable then buying at a bridal store.

    I am not sure where the information came from about Christine Hoyt, but she is amazing and her prices are great!  Christine did my sister's dress last year and is currently doing mine.  My sister bought a La Sposa TWO sizes TOO big and what Christine did was breathtaking.  I have a Casablanca dress and most people say Casablanca's are unalterable, but Christine is able to do it.  Her website is www.chstudios.com

    Lynn Dollar (lives in Colorado Springs) is an independent seamstress that did an incredible job on my wedding gown... completely redesigned the top... not to mention she made all of my bridesmaid dresses and my friend's wedding dress CUSTOM!     Another vote for Christine!  I ordered a Casablanca Couture that came in a bit TOO SHORT!  Christine is currently working on it and has already worked miracles :)  Plus she has a fabulous sense of humor!
