Marriage License

We have done some research on who can marry you, but it doesn't say anything about if it matters what county you get your marriage license in. You wouldn't think it would matter but I just want to see what others think. We are getting married in Adams County but we reside in El Paso county. Does it matter where we get it?

    It doesn't matter where you get your  license at as long as you get it a few weeks before the wedding.. The license are only vaild for 30 days from the day you get it and only Vaild in the State of Colorado.

    If you are unsure you can call your county license record hall and make sure before going to get it.

    i know for sure it doesn't matter where you get married and what county your license is in

    you can live in the springs and get a license from adams county

    i know because a friend of mine is from springs and got married in the durango area-with a license from there...

    We got our marriage license in Adams County (I recommend the DMV off 122nd and Pecos, they are fast and friendly), but we are getting married in Jefferson County.  It doesn't matter what county you get married in, so long as it is in Colorado and within 30 days of the date the license is issued.  Good luck!!!

    we got our license in Arapahoe County (live in Denver Couthy) but got married in Grand County.  Doesn't matter...just make sure you return it to the county clerk/recorder where you got your license!  Have fun!
