Friday Wedding / church

I am getting married on a Friday, March 23rd 2013.  Are there any catholic churches that will marry us on a Friday.  Either in the Philadelphia or Delaware County area?

    Old Saint Joseph's in the city will. I'm sure a lot of churches in Delco would as well. Your best bet is to call around and see. Good luck!

    If you are trying to get married at a Catholic Church on a Friday during lent you might have a problem. Many churches do a stations of the cross service on Friday nights during lent. I know this because I had to work my rehearsal around it. I am sure every church is different but just beware of the possibility.

    St. Dorothy's in Drexel Hill does Friday weddings in Lent. Call the rectory and talk to Fr. Murphy. Super nice guy. My wedding is on a Friday next summer. For Fridays, he basically says you can have the wedding any time, but he recommends the start time is no later than 5pm. Mine is at 4.

    I am getting married at St. Madeline's in Ridley Park on  Friday night this summer.. my wedding starts at 4pm.  But as others said just be aware of lent!
